"Eastern Religions Come to Western Pennsylvania" - a presentation by Pluralism Project affiliate Dr. Stuart Chandler of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His work, entitled "Eastern Religions Come to Western Pennsylvania" was recently completed as an exhibition organized by the University Museum, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Center for the Study of Religion in Pennsylvania and The Pluralism Project at Harvard University.

"Emerging Women's Leadership in the Muslim Community" - a panel and reception featuring Saleemah Abdul-Ghafur, editor of LIVING ISLAM OUT LOUD: American Muslim Women Speak and co-organizer of the historic women-led Islamic prayer in New York City; Sarah Eltantawi, media commentator on American Muslim affairs and Middle East policy and doctoral student in religious studies at Harvard University; and Raheel Raza, author of THEIR JIHAD...NOT MY JIHAD!: A Muslim Canadian Woman Speaks Out and the first Muslim woman to lead an Islamic congregational Friday prayer in Canada. The panel discussion will focus on questions of emerging forms of leadership and identities among Muslim women in North America. The event is cosponsored by the Pluralism Project, the Women and Public Policy Program at the Kennedy School of Government, and the Islam in the West Program at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies.

"Voices of Liberal Islam in Indonesia" - a panel discussion with Ulil Abshar-Abdalla and Sukidi Mulyadi about their leadership and participation in Jaringan Islam Liberal (Liberal Islam Network - Indonesia). This discussion will be moderated by Dr. Diana L. Eck, who will contribute her own experiences of meeting with various groups and individuals engaged in the work of promoting pluralism in Indonesia in August of 2005.
