Thousands of worshippers gathered in Birmingham to mark Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Members of the Hindu, Jain and Sikh religions turned out to celebrate the triumph of good over evil.
Preparations for the festival started with many of the estimated 25,000 Hindus in Birmingham flocking to the city’s temples.
