In Livingston, Hearing Set on Anti-Soothsaying Law (Louisiana)

LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) — The Livingston Parish Council has decided to hold a public hearing in February on whether it should repeal its anti-soothsaying ordinance.

Council attorney Blayne Honeycutt has recommended the council repeal the parish's fortunetelling ordinance, which has been challenged in federal court by a Wiccan minister, Cliff Eakin.
