Followers of three faiths with a shared heritage were brought together last week by a book.
Inspired by "Abraham," Bruce Feiler's 2002 historical best-seller about the biblical patriarch of Jews, Christians and Muslims, more than 120 people gathered in a Schaumburg church Saturday for an interfaith meeting of minds.
Held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the first of three scheduled "Abraham salons" sought common ground through an ancestral figure that each religion credits as a progenitor.
